Suti India Sarees was founded by Deepa Vishwakarma, an MBA graduate from Mumbai with a passion for sustainable fashion and traditional Indian craftsmanship.

Her journey began long before the brand was created. As a child, Deepa would often watch her mother spinning yarn on a traditional charkha. Curious about the process, she wondered why such old methods were still practiced. Years later, she came to understand the wisdom behind those traditions.

As she learned more about the environmental impact of fast fashion, she became increasingly concerned about the growing problem of textile waste and overflowing landfills around the world. She realized that many traditional Indian textile practices were not only beautiful but also inherently sustainable, relying on craftsmanship, longevity, and mindful production rather than mass manufacturing.

During her visits to Jaipur, Deepa fell in love with the city’s vibrant culture, hand block printing traditions, and remarkable artisan communities. Inspired by their skill and dedication, she envisioned a brand that would celebrate these timeless crafts while offering customers authentic, handcrafted products.

This vision became Suti India.
